Men Working in Childcare
We know that men, when they become fathers, play a significant part in the upbringing of their own children.
Sometimes, the concept that men can take care of other people’s children as a vocation, is much less familiar and we are proud to champion men working in childcare.
Male practitioners have so much to offer, not least as positive role models for boys, especially where their own father may be absent.
Research shows there are a multitude of other benefits from having men in nurseries, such as eradicating gender stereotypes and helping fathers engage with their children.
Qualities such as empathy, professionalism, good emotional intelligence and an understanding of early years and how children learn and develop are what is more important to the gender of the early years professional!
Our Aim is Simple
We are looking to have at least 2 male practitioners working in every one of our nurseries to benefit the children we look after.
That will give us a 10% strong male practitioner work force to rival current national statistics stating that just 2% of men work directly with children in the early years.
If you are male and share our vision for high quality care, then apply today as we might just have the perfect role for you.
