Hello my name is Bev and I am the Manager here at the nursery. 

I have worked within childcare for 20 years.  I started as a childminder when my children were small.  I joined the The Co-operative Childcare in March 2004 when it opened here at Walcot. 

I have recently completed my NVQ level 4 in Early Years Care and Education. 

I am really enjoying working here at the nursery with a good team of staff.

Hello my name is Gemma, I have been at the nursery since we opened in 2004 and I have loved seeing the nursery grow. 

I have a BTEC National Diploma in childcare which I gained in 1997. 

I have been doing the deputy role since October 2008 and am really enjoying the role.  It has given me an insight into the running of a nursery, which I find interesting. 

I have loved to watch the children grow into their own little personalities, also learn and develop before going off to school.

I am due to go on maternity leave at the end of March 2010, but hope to return in the New Year.

Hello, my name is Carolyn.  I have been working in childcare since 2003 and have been working with The Co-operative Childcare since March 2006. 

I gained my NVQ 2 in 2005 and then gained my NVQ 3 in 2008. 

I currently work in the 3-5's room and I really enjoy helping the children progress and get ready for school.

I am taking part in the Every Child a talker scheme and enjoy meeting with other practitioners in the area to improve communication skills in young children.

I am currently working in the 2-3s room which I really enjoy.  I love watching the children learn new and exciting things.

I am the Nursery Administrator.  My daughter started school (reception) in September and so it was an ideal opportunity to return to work part-time.  I have an extensive administration background, working mostly in a financial/technical environment.  During the years I have been at home I have helped out at toddler groups and pre-school.  I am friendly and easy going and find children fascinating!

Hi, my name is Laurie.  I have been working at The Co-operative Childcare since March 2009.  I am currently working in the 0-2's.  I love watching the children grow and develop, learning to walk and talk. 

I have a level 3 qualification which I gained in 2007 after studying BTEC early years.  I previously came to the nursery as a student but enjoyed it lots and wanted to join the team.

Hi I'm Michelle. I've been at The Co-operative Childcare since we opened in March 2004.

I am currently working in the 2-3s room and am soon to take over the deputy manager role to cover maternity leave. 

I gained my BTEC national diploma in June 2003 and I completed my level 4 in June 2008. 

I enjoy my role within the nursery, as it combines supporting and guiding the team as well as still being hands on with the children.

My name is Hayley, I studied the BTEC in early years at college for 2 years and have a level 3 in childcare and would like to further my career whilst working here.

I joined The Co-operative Childcare in January 2007 and have worked in all the different age groups.  I am currently working in the 2-3s room which I really enjoy.  I am also the SENCO for the setting and enjoy the challenges this involves.  I really enjoy working in childcare and love watching the children grow.

My name is Leah Thompson.  I am a new member of staff in the baby room.  I have just finished my NVQ2 in childcare.  I have been employed within childcare for 15 months.  Previously, I have worked with 3-5 year olds.  I enjoy working with the 0-2's and especially enjoy watching the childrens development within the EYFS stages.

Hi, my name is Kelly Bridle.  I am currently working in the 0-2s room and I am due to take over the role of senior nursery nurse to cover maternity leave. 

I have been at the nursery for 3 years.  I enjoy building relationships with the parents and children.  I enjoy interacting with the children and helping them to gain confidence and independence.

My name is Lesley Marley.  I am a nursery assistant in the 0-2s room.  I have worked in the nursery for 5 years.  I enjoy interacting with the children.

I really enjoy being out in the garden playing ring games and singing.  I have been on various training courses which I have found very useful.

I gained my BTEC national diploma in early years in 2006 and I am currently studying for my foundation degree in early years.  I enjoy working with children as I am able to do something different everyday, and I enjoy watching the children grow and develop.
