Sussex children get dotty for charity

Children at our Brighton nursery got ‘dotty’ for charity when they held a community fashion show to raise money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) last week.

The nursery, which is based at the University of Sussex, spent the day learning about braille, and then put their new skills into practice by designing and making their own dotty t-shirts.

Nursery colleagues peddle to raise pounds for hospital charity

Fitness enthusiasts at The Co-operative Childcare nursery have taken part in a 12 hour pedal-a-thon this week, to help raise money for charity.

Fourteen colleagues at the Queen’s Hospital based site, took to their exercise bikes for the day to raise funds yesterday (Thursday 28th May) for The Snowdrop Suite – a charity that supports parents experiencing infant bereavement.

Children learn all about openness and Chinese culture with fun day of activities

Children at our Co-operative Childcare nursery in Walsall Wood enjoyed a fun day of Chinese-themed activities as part of an initiative to help them to develop core inclusivity values. 

Forming part of the Society’s ‘Little Pioneers’ programme, which features popular characters Ping, Ebo, Alice, Charlie and Ela, the day was the first of a series of events promoting the themes of diversity, openness and equality, designed to show children how they can share their feelings to make a difference in the world.
