Day Nursery Bristol

Welcome To The Co-operative Childcare

About our nursery

At The Co-operative Childcare we never underestimate how difficult a decision it is to leave your child in the care of others and our aim is to ensure that you have all the information you need to make this very important decision.

The Co-operative Childcare Bristol nursery is a stimulating, safe and secure environment for your child and we pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming atmosphere. The nursery is in a grade two listed building that has beautiful high archways as ceilings and is full of character. There are 5 home rooms within our nursery split into the following age groups: 3 months - 1 year room, 2 rooms for the 1-2 year olds, one room for the 2-3 year olds and one room for the 3-5 year olds.

What our parents say

Very conveniently located on Temple Meads doorstep. Beautiful roomy building. Changing units are built into the rooms so your child never leaves the group. Very caring and enthusiastic staff looking for new exciting ways to challenge your child to learn. Great outdoor space that can be used even on wet days as it has astro turf. Lovely outdoor playing equipment. Management is clearly full of initiatives and inviting parents to get involved. All meals are freshly home made in the nursery's own kitchen. Not only is this a great nursery, it is obviously also a great place to work, which you see in all the staff's attitude and that ensures your child has the best experience possible.

The staff at The Co-operative nursery are really friendly and get to know your child really well. They genuinely care about them and work with you to resolve any problems. They also have great suggestions for food, this is particularly good for my youngest son, who is dairy intolerant. There is a good ambience throughout the nursery and all the staff know all the children. My children are very well educated and stimulated there.

General thank you to all staff for the hard work they have done with her child. Child clearly loves her time at nursery which means alot to the parents. The team do a brilliant job and can't be thanked enough.

As parents it has been great knowing the boys have had a safe and fun environment to go to. We have never had to worry about the care that they have/had received. It made going to work easier.

Thank you very much Donna/Sam for showing me around the nursery on Tuesday, I was very impressed with the set up of the rooms and the children looked very happy.

The very friendly staff and the warm environment makes the first steps into the nursery feel of being home. The children are happy and always come home wanting to go back the next day to see their friends (both children and staff). When you leave your kids in the morning, as a parent I know they will be looked after and taught valuable skills.

Brilliant staff - they really care and both my daughters have loved being at nursery.

What we do

Activities

There are many activities in addition to the core learning and play that takes place at the nursery and supports the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. These activities are planned in advance and very often with parent participation.

Our People

Our nursery team are friendly and approachable and attend numerous training courses to enhance their knowledge, enabling them to provide the best care and enjoyable learning experiences for our children. All colleagues are qualified or working towards their qualifications and together they have over 135 years of experience in childcare. Our Nursery Manager Donna has a wealth of experience in childcare and there is a dedicated, loyal team of 23 colleagues who help our children to have the best start in life in a brightly refurbished nursery setting.

Outdoor Facilities

There are two outdoor play areas that enable the younger and older children to enjoy the outdoor environment in safety.

The nursery has a drop off zone where parents can park safely whilst dropping off their children at the nursery.

Parents as Partners

The parents have an information board located in the reception area which has a variety of useful information. In the various 0-3 year olds home rooms they have a feedback sheet which includes the children’s daily information of how they have been, including sleep, food, nappies and anything that they have enjoyed during the day. The 3-5 year olds carers give verbal feedback to the parent on a daily basis. Regular newsletters are sent to parents to keep them updated on up and coming events and we encourage parent participation in many of them. When parents join the nursery they are asked to complete an information from home sheet which will help the key person to settle the child into the nursery environment. Parents evening are offered at regular intervals throughout the year where the child’s key person discusses the child’s development with their parents and there is also an annual survey for parents to give structured feedback on all areas of the nursery.

Recommend a friend and if they register their child you'll both receive £50 OFF | T&C's apply
