What our parents say

Very happy with her child's progress and how happy all her children have been throughout their time at the nursery.

Yesterday was Krish's last day at nursery so wanted to say a HUGE thank-you to ALL who have helped him learn and grow.

You have made him fully prepared for the next chapter of starting school, so we are eternally grateful for the love and support you've given him for all the time he spent with you all,

Best Wishes to you ALL!

Reena Gadhia.

We first chose this nursery based on the recommendation of another family member and now have two children attending. My children are bright and social animals who enjoy going to nursery and who express genuine love for staff members.  My eldest son is kind, polite and full of fun - much of which he has learned at nursery. He will be attending school in September and I have absolutely no qualms about him going, as I believe he has been more than well prepared by his experiences at nursery. I have had contact with this nursery for five years (including picking up my nephew) and a core number of staff members have been there the whole time. My interactions with most staff are very friendly and staff throughout the nursery are familiar with both my sons and their progress, even when they don't work directly with them.

What we do

There are many activities in addition to the core learning and play that takes place at the nursery and supports the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. These activities are planned in advance and very often with parent participation.

Our People

We have a highly qualified, experienced and established team at the Sutton nursery, many of whom have worked here for several years. Our nursery team are friendly, approachable, professional and committed to delivering high quality childcare and education. All of the team are passionate about the work they do and have attended numerous training course to develop their skills, enabling them to provide the children with the best possible start to life.

We have a dedicated, loyal team of 27 colleagues who help our children to have the best start in life in a brightly refurbished modern nursery setting.

Outdoor Facilities

There is an extensive enclosed garden area which is tastefully sectioned off to provide safe play areas with separate grass and soft safety surfaces. There is also a sheltered decking area which allows a separate part of the garden to be used for babies that are not yet walking to enjoy the outdoors when older children are playing outside. We aim to provide plenty of opportunities for physical play with a large range of outdoor equipment to enjoy.

The nursery is located close to the local library and park for children’s outings and the train station is just a 5 minute walk away. Free ample parking is available for dropping off and collecting children.

Parents as Partners

The parents have an information board located in the reception area which has a variety of useful information. In the various 0-3 year olds home rooms they have a feedback sheet which includes the children's daily information of how they have been, including sleep, food, nappies and anything that they have enjoyed during the day. The 3-5 year olds carers give verbal feedback to the parent on a daily basis. Regular newsletters are sent to parents from our day nursery Sutton to keep them updated on up and coming events and we encourage parent participation in many of them. When parents join the nursery they are asked to complete an information from home sheet which will help the key person to settle the child into the nursery environment. Parents evening are offered at regular intervals throughout the year where the child's key person discusses the child’s development with their parents and there is also an annual survey for parents to give structured feedback on all areas of the nursery. Parent forum meetings are also held quarterly at the childcare Sutton.
